Falkirk Radio Car Club was formed in 1976 for the purpose of allowing like minded individuals who enjoy
building & racing radio controlled cars to gather in
one place to share knowledge as well as compete against each other in a safe, controlled environment. It's
this ethos the club committee still keeps foremost in its goals so racers can both enjoy and test there own
abilities on track against some of the best racers in Scotland. The club caters for all ages & abilities.
The club is based at Denny Sports Centre (Station Yard, Town House Street, Denny, FK6 5DX) where we run the successful Falkirk Winter Series which runs annually between September and March. We race on Primafelt GT carpet with a wide range of obstacles and jumps to challenge the drivers. The circuit is temporary and as such each event brings its own challenge.
At Falkirk Radio Car Club we race 1/10th electric off road cars that are 2 wheel drive (2WD) or 4 wheel drive (4WD) & are powered by Lithium Polymer batteries (LiPo). The drive to the wheels is provided by an Electric Speed Controller & a Brushless Motor which are very efficient as well as being very low maintenance.
